100% of our Brilliant Mobile School students passed their exams to continue their education in secondary school. We’re partnering with Diamond Development Initiative to fund the first year of high school for these forty students, investing in school fees, uniforms, supplies, daily meals, and tutoring.
With our non-profit partners Diamond Development Initiative, we helped fund vocational training for nine members of diamond mining communities in Sierra Leone. This past December, their accomplishments in various fields, including carpentry and hairdressing, were celebrated with a graduation in Koidu.
We partnered with Diamond Development Initiative to provide diamond valuation training to artisanal diamond miners in Sierra Leone. Many diamond miners are taken advantage of by middlemen due to lack of training and education.
In partnership with Pure Earth, we helped train artisanal gold miners in Peru in a mercury-free gold mining technique. The local environment and health of the community benefit greatly from reduced mercury emissions.
